Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Tampa, FL

Pay: $26 to $29/hour (depending on experience)

Experience: 5 years of experience/education in commercial office building systems maintenance specifically including the following areas: mechanical/HVAC, electrical and plumbing

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of education from state, county or local governmental agency approved/sanctioned technical Institution and/or college or university in one or more of the following fields: electrical, construction, roofing, building life safety systems, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, or equivalent on-the-job training in one or more of the above
• Documented training/certification/license in one or more of the following fields: EPA (D), HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; rotating on-call

HH Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Monitor and adjust HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and tenant comfort, including monitoring water treatment programs
• Perform schedule and program adjustments to maintain an efficient building environment
• Conduct routine inspections and perform minor repairs to plumbing, HVAC systems, roofs, windows and doorways
• Coordinate inspections, service, and repairs for life safety systems
• Maintain records and equipment logs, ensuring accurate documentation of all maintenance activities
• Promote energy conservation through maintenance of equipment and energy management programs
• Manage budgets and order stock for repairs while adhering to budget guidelines
• Organize and maintain maintenance shops, tools and equipment in clean and orderly condition
• Foster strong relationships with building customers to ensure excellent service and satisfaction
• Assist with inclement weather preparedness and response efforts

• Be available for emergency calls at night, weekends and holidays on an alternating schedule (on-call)
• Fundamental knowledge of state and local building codes
• Basic computer skills, excel, word, outlook
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication, organizational and mentoring skills highly desirable
• Maintain a current Florida Driver’s License
