Job Description
Position: Building Maintenance Specialist
Location: Ybor City, FL
Pay: $26 to $29/hour (depending on experience)
Experience: 5 years of experience/education in commercial office building systems maintenance specifically in Mechanical/HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.
Education:
- Education from an accredited institution in Electrical, Construction, Roofing, Building Life Safety Systems, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Mechanical preferred.
- Certifications or licenses in EPA Certification (D), HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical preferred.
Type: Full-time; Temp to Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
HH Staffing is seeking a Building Maintenance Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Monitor HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation and tenant comfort, including managing water chemical treatments for cooling towers and logging system readings.
- Adjust schedules and programs for functional systems to optimize building efficiency and comfort.
- Identify and implement system enhancements, including maintaining contact with manufacturers for firmware upgrades or equipment modifications.
- Track and manage budgets while maintaining regular communication with the Senior Property Manager.
- Order and maintain repair stock within budget guidelines, ensuring proper record-keeping for equipment logs.
- Coordinate inspections, services, and repairs for life safety systems as needed.
- Investigate recurring customer service issues and report findings to the Property Manager.
- Follow and update planned maintenance schedules based on manufacturer recommendations for all systems.
- Promote energy conservation through maintenance practices, energy management programs, and monitoring energy consumption.
- Maintain organized maintenance shops and storage areas, ensuring tools and equipment are accounted for, and the spaces are clean and orderly.
Job Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring abilities are highly desirable.
- Must be available for emergency calls during nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating on-call schedule.
- Fundamental understanding of state and local building codes.
- Must maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
