Act as a liaison between the Chief of Police and all Department Staff. First point of contact
High level of professionalism and discretion with the ability to maintain confidentiality on all matters
Outstanding customer service skills. Interacts with Citizens who contact the Police Department and all Department staff
Ability to switch tasks frequently with little or no notice required with high attention to detail
Receives and electronically distributes subpoenas for all Officers
Responsible for coding invoices and submission
Ability to manage calendars for the Chief and Captains and provide daily schedule updates for prior day s assignments of all Officers
Maintain calendar of time off requests, review payroll time entry for accuracy, notify chain of command for any discrepancies
Must be highly proficient in Excel, Word, and OutlookMust be able to type 70 wpm
Excellent computer skills.
Must be comfortable working in multiple software programs and assigning access to systems as appropriate for new employees
Experience with Filing/Mail Distribution/Office Equipment (faxing, scanning, copying)
Experience with records management, including retention and purging records at designated time framesPrepares quarterly and annual special reports at State and Federal levelsSchedules meetings and takes minutes at meetings
Maintains Internal Affairs files, maintains all Police Department personnel files and training recordsProcesses training requests and submits tuition reimbursement requestsSchedules travel arrangements
Maintains office supplies and ordersPerforms other duties to facilitate the Department's goals, as needed
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, but the candidate must be flexible and willing to work outside these hours, if needed.
The candidate must score at the global average or above average for Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and have the ability to type at least 70 wpm. (You will be TESTED)!
Must have valid Florida Driver s License and acceptable driving record
