Groundskeeper
Job Description
Location: Stock Island, FL
Pay: $17 to $18/hour
Experience: Proven experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or a related field
Education: High school diploma or GED
Type: Full-time; Temporary
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
HH Staffing is seeking a Groundskeeper to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots and recreational areas
- Collect and dispose of trash, debris, and litter from grounds and common areas
- Perform regular checks and upkeep of outdoor furniture, playground equipment and other amenities
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on outdoor structures, such as fences, gates and signs
- Clean and maintain swimming pools, fountains and other water features
- Report any major maintenance or repair needs to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
- Ensure all groundskeeping activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and address them promptly
- Use and store groundskeeping equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly
- Interact with residents in a courteous and professional manner
- Respond to resident concerns or requests related to outdoor areas promptly and effectively
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of lawn care, gardening and grounds maintenance techniques
- Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics
- Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of safety practices related to groundskeeping and maintenance
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
