Janitorial Area Supervisor

Position: Area Supervisor
Location: Tampa, FL
Pay: $45k to $50k/year (depending on experience)
Experience/Education:
- 2-year college and 3 to 5 years in the janitorial industry with operating experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience in the janitorial field is required.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3pm to 12am
HH Staffing is seeking an Area Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Manage all assigned locations within budget, including work scheduling for account personnel, and overseeing the proper use of cleaning and safety supplies, equipment, and machinery.
- Create and maintain work schedules (daily, monthly, quarterly, etc.) and prepare supply orders within company procedures and budget guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits (at least 10 per week) to ensure compliance with company and client quality standards, addressing and resolving any issues.
- Submit completed inspection reports with action plans to the Operations Manager and keep inspection files up-to-date.
- Train, counsel, and discipline staff as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee proper handling and usage of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Prepare and submit accurate timekeeping records, including supporting documentation for any discrepancies.
- Handle paperwork for new hires, staff changes, and terminations
- Maintain effective communication with clients and facility personnel to meet their needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain a sanitary, organized environment at all locations.
- Promote company culture, values, and management philosophy while leading the team to meet performance goals.
Job Requirements

- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Self-directed with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to service, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Positive role model supporting corporate goals while building productive relationships with employees and customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership abilities, including team-building, holding others accountable, and mentoring.
- Skilled in problem-solving, prioritization, and time management.
- Quick learner, adaptable to organizational culture and business practices.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Available to work occasional weekends.
